“Oh, they never returned. No, they never returned. Their fate is still unlearned.”

After almost 13 years of travel, we are returning to the Chicago area.  We bought a townhouse about two weeks ago in Woodridge.  After last summer’s travels to the west coast and Canada; living out of our car; staying with friends and family, and in Airbnb’s, we knew we needed a place up north for the summer and fall months!

Our new home will allow us to be close to our children, granddaughter and a grandchild that is due in September.  In 2010 when we left on the boat, we never dreamed our travels would take us all over the country for so many years. It is time to renew treasured friendships, unpack our tiny storage unit and see what we stuffed in there so many years ago.  Furnishing the house is going to be a challenge, but we have lots of time.  (Chicago area friends - Before you get rid of that piece of furniture….think of us!)

PictureSpring in Florida!

Even though we will still keep our little home in Florida, this really is like starting over. In our 800 square foot home, finding our glasses can be a problem.  What are we going to do in a full size home?

Our wanderlust is not over, maybe just on pause…..

Not sure how all of 2022 passed by without a post to at least say hi!
Here are some highlights from our summer trip out west.
